Given a passage and a question about its content, the goal of (Machine) Reading Comprehension (RC) is to provide an answer to the question. ReCoRES proposes two subtasks for this year's RC challenge:
Multiple-Choice. The system needs to select the correct answer from a given set of candidates.
Reasoning Explanation. The system needs to provide an explanation of why it decided to select a candidate as the correct answer.
In order to do this, ReCoRES introduces a new and bigger multiple-choice RC dataset for Spanish based on university entrance examinations. In this dataset, questions aim to evaluate humans instead of computers, and they also include information about the reasoning used to choose the correct alternative.
